Zagreb was a home for the eighth meeting of the BIGG4VB project team
As part of the Erasmus+ Sport project called “Better incorporation of good governance principles for better volleyball success”, BIGG4VB, the seventh meeting of the project participants; six national volleyball federations, the representatives of the Zagreb School of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Kinesiology in Split, was held in Zagreb on December 12th 2021.
The aim of the BIGG4VB project is to implement good governance in volleyball federations and clubs on the basis of ten criteria, while with cooperation with ZŠEM and KIF Split, also identify examples of good governance and adherence to principles in national federations of Austria, Iceland, Italy, Poland, Slovenia and Croatia.
At the meeting in Zagreb, the final control of all 12 intellectual outputs and the final financial report for all partners was performed. In the second part of the meeting, the Croatian Volleyball Federation, as the project leader, presented the final presentation of the project for the final conference, where all project partners added their suggestions. It was agreed that at the final conference, through a final presentation, each partner will present its federation and through the project outcomes bring the importance of implementing the tool to all sports organizations and associations so that everyone can develop their action and strategic plans to help them manage well.
The final conference with a panel discussion of the entire project will be held on December 13, 2021 in Zagreb at the ZSEM premises, starting at 11 am. In addition to the project partners, representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian Olympic Committee, county and city sports federations, representatives of the partner cities of the Croatian Volleyball Federation and the media were invited to the conference.
