Volleyball Federation of Slovenia
or shortly OZS from Ljubljana, Slovenia, is the governing body for volleyball, beach volleyball, snow volleyball and sitting volleyball in the Republic of Slovenia. It is a member of the Slovenian Olympic Committee – Association of Sports Federations (OKS-ZSZ), Federation international de Volleyball (FIVB), Confederation Europeenne de Volleyball (CEV) and Middle European Volleyball Zonal Association (MEVZA). OZS performs tasks delegated from OKS-ZSZ, FIVB, CEV and MEVZA membership as well as membership in other organizations.
OZS establishes a system of national competitions and lays down requirements for participants, to organize and manage competitions. Federation also organizes preparation and appearance of national teams and represents Slovenian volleyball.
OZS is established with the purpose of accelerating growth of volleyball in Slovenia. To fulfill its purpose OZS organizes and implements mutually agreed volleyball actions, takes care of mass and quality development of volleyball and organizes education and training for personnel (coaches, referees, players and organizers.
Federation is also aware of importance of popularizing volleyball, encouraging youth volleyball and ensuring the recognition of volleyball in Slovenia.
